LEICESTER Speedway Supporters Club are hosting an evening with Sky Sports presenter Nigel Pearson next Wednesday, January 20.

Pearson will be answering questions about the sport in general, plus his own media career including his TV work, football commentary on TalkSPORT radio station alongside former Leicester city striker Stan Collymore - and his new role with National League applicants Dudley Heathens.

He said: "I remember the great days of Leicester Lions and I've had the honour of talking to club legend Ray Wilson in recent times. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and hope the return of the sport in the city can be completed sooner rather than later after the recent hitch."

It all takes place at Abbey Sports & Leisure Club, Slater Street, Leicester LA3 5AS from 8pm. Admission is £3 for LSSC members and £4 for non-members.
